Once the 9-1-1 call button is initiated, the vehicle is connected to the appropriate PSAP through the local 9-1-1 system.

The PSAP operator that answers the Uconnect 9-1-1 call will hear the vehicle announce:
This is an emergency call from a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram/FIAT vehicle.

The operator will then be prompted to either push:
0 - To talk with vehicle occupants.
1 - To secure the location coordinates (latitude & longitude) of the vehicle.

If a vehicle occupant accidentally pushes the 9-1-1 call button , the occupant has several seconds to voluntarily cancel the call by touching a Cancel button on the system’s 8.4-inch touchscreen before the 9-1-1 call is placed. After a call is in progress, only the PSAP operator can end the call. The PSAP operator will also receive the vehicle’s phone number in the event a callback is needed.
