FAQs
A Uconnect® 9-1-1 call routed by a wireless carrier should be delivered as a typical wireless call. It should display on the ANI and ALI screen as would any other wireless 9-1-1 call and should include a WPH1 or WPH2 class of service.
Any vehicle occupant can push the Uconnect® 9-1-1 button.
Chrysler Group vehicles with the Uconnect 9-1-1 Call feature comply with applicable FCC regulations.
Without a valid subscription, the data services may be de-provisioned after five years. At that point, the Uconnect 9-1-1 Call feature may change its status to a NSI phone and should present to a PSAP like any other wireless NSI phone being used for 9-1-1.
If the owner or an occupant syncs their mobile phone to the Bluetooth® system and then uses that phone to make a 9-1-1 call, the call presented to the PSAP would be like any other wireless call to 9-1-1 and would not include the Uconnect® 9-1-1 Call computer-generated voice message. However, if the owner or an occupant syncs their mobile phone via Bluetooth, then uses the Uconnect 9-1-1 Call button on the rearview mirror, the PSAP will receive the computer-generated real-time voice message and related data as a Uconnect 9-1-1 call from the vehicle.
